This Privacy Policy describes how LangMagic ("LangMagic", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use langmagic.com, The Endless Book (endless.langmagic.com), the LangMagic Content Portal (portal.langmagic.com), and any related services (together, the "Services").
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
- Learning data. The language you are learning, your native language, books and pages generated for you, words you tap or save, exercise answers, and signals like your tapping rate that we use to adapt difficulty (A1 → C2).
- Purchases. If you subscribe to Premium, our payment processor handles your card details; we receive a subscription status and limited billing metadata.
- Device & usage data. Standard log information such as IP address, browser, device type, and pages visited.
- Cookies. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We also use Google Ads cookies to measure how well our ads work. You can decline ad cookies and still use everything in our Services. You can change your mind any time in Settings → Communication preferences.
How we use information
- To provide, personalize, and improve the Services.
- To generate adaptive reading content, translations, audio, and exercises tailored to your level and goals.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To send service-related messages and, if you opt in, occasional product updates.
- To measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
AI-generated content
Reading material, translations, and audio in our Services are generated with AI models. We pass minimal prompts and your learning preferences to those models. We do not sell your learning data, and we do not use your personal account data to train third-party foundation models.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services (authentication, hosting, AI inference, payments, analytics, advertising measurement), and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Decline ad cookies in the cookie banner or in Settings.
- Export or delete your saved words and books from Settings.
- Request deletion of your account by emailing us.
Data retention
We keep your account and learning data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to keep it.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Services.
